Q. WHAT DO YOU DO NOW?

Answer:

You are now engaged and are planning to celebrate your Big Day in Malta or Gozo. The first decision is the exact date of your wedding.

You decide on the date that suits you and pass it to the organisers.

As organisers we will check if that date is free for us to organise your wedding. It is best to steer clear of weekends as we are sometimes busy with Maltese weddings and some components of your wedding services will be more expensive on weekends. Please note that we only take one foreign wedding per week and that week is dedicated to you.

Q. IF THE DATE IS FREE FOR THE ORGANISERS TO ORGANISE YOUR WEDDING, WHAT IS YOUR NEXT STEP?

Answer:

The week of your chosen date is free for us so as organisers we will determine if this period is during a peak week. If it is a peak period it could be difficult to book Venue / Church and services.

If this is the case, we, the organisers will guide you on a different day close to the chosen one that is free for us and the priority venues.

Q. NOW YOU DECIDE IF YOU WANT A CIVIL OR RELIGIOUS CEREMONY?

Answer:

It is very important for you to decide which type of ceremony you desire.

If it is religious and therefore a Church Ceremony and only if both of you have not been married before. We as wedding organisers will then look for a Church, Chapel or a Cathedral as near as possible to your accommodation and wedding celebration venue. We would need also to book the celebrant.

We coordinate with one particular priest and it could be the case that they are all booked already, so an early decision would put your minds at rest that the celebrant is available and booked.

Also some Churches / Chapels do not accept more than one wedding on the same day. If the Church / Chapel of your first choice is booked, then we will have to look for another one in the same area if possible.

If a Civil Ceremony is chosen, we will have to book the Registrar for that date and for the time we request that we as wedding organisers would wish for.

Q. CIVIL CEREMONY, OUTDOOR OR INDOOR?

Answer:

Various venues are available, from the outdoor setting, with backup just in case of inclement weather, to indoor venues. It is a matter of choice and the time of year.

Q. WHICH PART OF THE ISLAND DO YOU WANT TO BE?

Answer:

Firstly you must choose the style of wedding ceremony and reception, romantic in a Castle or Palazzo, beach BBQ, overlooking the sea with views, night cruise, disco, garden lit up by lanterns or rope lights, hotel or restaurant gardens.

The choice is in your hands but for us it is most important so that we can direct you.

This is where you visit our venue webpage for a general idea.

Q. DO YOU HAVE CHILDREN PART OF THE WEDDING PARTY?

Answer:

Very important, as certain venues are next to swimming pools or the sea and could be dangerous for young children. Safety and health are one of our main priorities.

Q. WHAT IS THE SIZE OF YOUR WEDDING PARTY GROUP

Answer:

Certain venues are too big for a small wedding group so the approximate size is very important to us. For example, many couples seem to say "50" as a round figure and end up with 20 or 30!! Before advising us, prepare a guest list and make a few phone calls to your family and guests to arrive at a sensible estimate.

Q. AT WHAT STAGE DO YOU ENGAGE US AS ORGANISERS

There are basically THREE options;

Q 1. WE DO NOT WANT TO VISIT MALTA BEFORE THE WEDDING, WHAT HAPPENS?

Option 1: (by far the most popular option)

Answer:

If you do not wish to visit Malta before your wedding and want to leave the whole organisation in our hands. We will choose the right venue with your blessing and book on your behalf, an initial deposit of € 1,500 has to be paid prior to us starting work on your wedding.

We will then give you unlimited advice as long as you engage us and send us the deposit by bank transfer.

This option saves you time and money by not having to travel to Malta and waste valuable "wedding spending money" on flights, hotel and other expenses.

A second deposit by bank transfer will be required once most of your services you require have been established and deposits to these services has been decided.

These deposits are deducted from your final invoice.

Q 2. YOU WOULD LIKE TO VISIT THE VENUE / S BEFORE YOU DECIDE TOGETHER WITH THE ORGANISERS WHAT YOU WANT?

Option 2; (not often used)

Answer:

The organisers would be more than happy to set up appointments with three or four chosen venues once a date and wedding theme is established.

At this stage we will ask for a deposit by bank transfer of € 500 paid to us in advance.

We will setup appointments, take the couple to the appointed venues and give all the advice.

If, after the visits, the couple are happy to choose the venue and decide to engage us to plan the wedding, this amount will become a partial deposit and will be deducted on final invoice.

This deposit is deducted from your final invoice should you engage us. If you do not engage us then this deposit is non refundable as payment for your services.

Q 3. YOU WOULD LIKE TO VISIT MALTA AND OUR STUDIO BEFORE YOU DECIDE TOGETHER WITH THE ORGANISERS ON THE VENUE?

Option 3; (very seldom used)

Answer:

We offer a one hour CONSULTATION meeting in our Studio / offices in Mellieha, Malta at a small fee of € 250, if you intend visiting Malta prior to choosing the venue.

This deposit is deducted from your final invoice should you engage us. If you do not engage us then this deposit is non refundable as payment for your services.

Q. YOU WANT TO DECIDE ON THE VENUE AFTER RECEIVING A QUOTATION, HOW DO YOU GO ABOUT IT?

Answer:

Every Wedding we organise is unique to the couple we are committed to.

Venues change, amount of guests vary, menus are different, flowers can change, transport differs, what music do you want, etc, etc.

This would involve us in a great deal of work and expense.

Therefore, we will only provide quotations for venues and menus when we are engaged by you as your wedding planners and organisers.

We will make sure that we get the best prices for you.

This way, you will only deal with us and not with numerous other services which could result as a headache on the wedding day.

We also tie up all the service suppliers on contract, with deposits and under Maltese Law and our default conditions.

If for example the transport is late, the bride or groom has only to deal with us on the day and leave the organisation and timing in our hands.

Our packages DETAILED ON OUR WEB SITE serve as a guideline and an idea of expense. We will deduct any service or item not taken from any of the packages and add on any other item that you would have desired to add.
